Adamos
Adamides was born at Syngrassis in the Famagusta District of Cyprus on
16th February 1942. He studied law at the University of
Athens, Greece. Since 1969 he is a practising lawyer, initially in
Famagusta and subsequently as a result of the Turkish invasion in
Limassol. From 1988 to 1993, he served as a member of the operating
Board of the Cyprus Telecommunicatios Authority (Cy.T.A.). From 1993 to
1997 he served as a Minister of Communications and Works in the
Government of Glafkos Clerides, the President of the Republic of Cyprus.
He has written several law journals and articles about policy reforms
and government policies. He is a member of the board of directors of
public and private companies. He is also a member of the Cyprus Bar
Association.
